Rome and the Vatican

A 5:30am departure from Perugia ensured our arrival in Rome would still be in the morning. Once the bus emptied, we descended the Spanish Steps with our guide, Giovanni, who accompanied our group to several of Rome’s most famous landmarks. Stepping inside the Colosseum and the Basilica of St. Peter are two of my favorite experiences from our day in Rome.
